The validate_event() function just checked for reserved counters in particular CPU-MF counter sets. Because the number of counters in counter sets vary among different hardware models, remove the explicit check to tolerate new models. Reserved counters are not accounted and, thus, will return zero. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``.
