If a property has an 'items' list, then a 'minItems' or 'maxItems' with the same size as the list is redundant and can be dropped. Note that is DT schema specific behavior and not standard json-schema behavior. The tooling will fixup the final schema adding any unspecified minItems/maxItems. This condition is partially checked with the meta-schema already, but only if both 'minItems' and 'maxItems' are equal to the 'items' length. An improved meta-schema is pending. title: Tegra210 I2S Controller Device Tree Bindings
description: |

The Inter-IC Sound (I2S) controller implements full-duplex,

bi-directional and single direction point-to-point serial

interfaces. It can interface with I2S compatible devices.
I2S controller can operate both in master and slave mode.

Sync input clock, which can act as clock source to other I/O

per bit clock rate. I/O module which wants to use this clock
