a4a2756546 usb: chipidea: s32g: Add usb support for s32g2
Enable USB driver for s32g2. This chip has an errata ERR050474[1]
so we need to set S32G_UCMALLBE to avoid some memory corruption. I
have include the description below:

ERR050474: USB : USB data may be corrupted if transaction size is
non-multiple of 32bits

Description
When USB issues narrow length transfers i.e. AHB transaction size is less
than 4bytes, data for that transaction will get corrupted. Narrow length
transactions can occur if the transaction size is non-multiple of four
bytes, error scenarios terminate the transactions early or if the address
offset programmed in QTD is 4 Byte unaligned. This happens because the
SoC NOC is not able to handle the byte strobes generated by USB controller
and is dependent on its internally generates byte strobes.

Workaround
Narrow transfers work properly on bypassing USB controller’s byte
generation logic. This can be done by setting UCMALLBE (bit 15, USB Core
Master All Byte Enable) bit of UOTGNC_CR.

11992b4100 usb: chipidea: imx: implement workaround for ERR051725
ERR051725:
USB: With the USB controller configured as device mode, Clearing the RS
bit of USBCMD register fails to cause USB device to be detached

Description
1. USB controller working as high speed device mode with USB gadget
   function enabled
2. Cable plugged into USB host
3. Use case is software-controlled detach from USB device side

The expected result is device side terminations removed, increase in USB
signal amplitude, USB host detect device is detached. But the issue is
that the clear RS bit of USBCMD register cannot cause device detach event.

Workaround
- Use the below steps to detach from the host:
    write USBCMD.RS = 0b
    write CTRL2[7:6] = 01b
    write CTRL2[8] = 1b
- As CTRL2[8] is set at detach case, so attach the steps should add clear
  CTRL2[8]:
    write USBCMD.RS = 1b
    write CTRL2[8] = 0b

ec841b8d73 usb: chipidea: add CI_HDRC_HAS_SHORT_PKT_LIMIT flag
Currently, the imx deivice controller has below limitations:

1. can't generate short packet interrupt if IOC not set in dTD. So if one
request span more than one dTDs and only the last dTD set IOC, the usb
request will pending there if no more data comes.
2. the controller can't accurately deliver data to differtent usb requests
in some cases due to short packet. For example: one usb request span 3
dTDs, then if the controller received a short packet the next packet
will go to 2nd dTD of current request rather than the first dTD of next
   request.
3. can't build a bus packet use multiple dTDs. For example: controller
needs to send one packet of 512 bytes use dTD1 (200 bytes) + dTD2
(312 bytes), actually the host side will see 200 bytes short packet.

Based on these limits, add CI_HDRC_HAS_SHORT_PKT_LIMIT flag and use it on
imx platforms.

9a0749d61a usb: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()
After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.

Convert all platform drivers below drivers/usb to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

12e6ac69cc usb: chipidea: add workaround for chipidea PEC bug
Some NXP processors using ChipIdea USB IP have a bug when frame babble is
detected.

Issue description:
In USB camera test, our controller is host in HS mode. In ISOC IN, when
device sends data across the micro frame, it causes the babble in host
controller. This will clear the PE bit. In spec, it also requires to set
the PEC bit and then set the PCI bit. Without the PCI interrupt, the
software does not know the PE is cleared.

This will add a flag CI_HDRC_HAS_PORTSC_PEC_MISSED to some impacted
platform datas. And the ehci host driver will assert PEC by SW when
specific conditions are satisfied.

484468fb0f usb: Explicitly include correct DT includes
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

ad593ed671 usb: chipidea/ci_hdrc_imx: Convert to platform remove callback returning void
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from
emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve
here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first
step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already
returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() is
renamed to .remove().

Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

This happens because the charger functions check for the phy presence
inside the imx_usbmisc_data structure (data->usb_phy), but the chipidea
core populates the usb_phy passed via 'phys' inside 'struct ci_hdrc'
(ci->usb_phy) instead.

This causes the NULL pointer dereference inside imx7d_charger_detection().

Fix it by also searching for 'phys' in case 'fsl, usbphy' is not found.

Tested on a imx7s-warp board.

    c) the error path in combination with driver removal causes
imbalanced calls to the clk_*() and pm_()* APIs

a) happens because the original intended return value is
overwritten (with 0) by the return code of
   regulator_disable() in ci_hdrc_imx_probe()'s error path
b) happens because ci_pdev is -EPROBE_DEFER, which causes
   ci_hdrc_remove_device() to OOPS

Fix a) by being more careful in ci_hdrc_imx_probe()'s error
path and not overwriting the real error code

Fix b) by calling the respective cleanup functions during
remove only when needed (when ci_pdev != NULL, i.e. when
everything was initialised correctly). This also has the
side effect of not causing imbalanced clk_*() and pm_*()
API calls as part of the error code path.

"phys", the glue layer is not mandatory to get the "fsl, usbphy" phandle
any more.

d1609c312d usb: chipidea: imx: add imx7ulp support
In this commit, we add CI_HDRC_PMQOS to avoid system entering idle,
at imx7ulp, if the system enters idle, the DMA will stop, so the USB
transfer can't work at this case.

5f0632c467 usb: chipidea: imx: set power polarity
This patch adds support to set the power line polarity for i.MX SoCs.

To let the USB controller control the power it may be necessary to
configure the polarity of the power line. So far the polarity was
configured by Bootloader or alternatively the power line was muxed
as gpio and driven by a regulator.

Also make use of of_property_read_bool.

1bf4743f64 usb: chipidea: imx: Warn if oc polarity isn't specified
The polarity of the over current detection pin isn't configured on i.MX6/7
if it's unspecified in the device tree. So the actual configuration depends
on bootloader behavior which is bad.

So encourage users to fix their device tree by issuing a warning in this
case.

a82bf696aa usb: chipidea: imx: support configuring for active low oc signal
The status quo on i.MX6 is that if "over-current-active-high" is
specified in the device tree this is configured as expected. If
the property is missing polarity isn't changed and so the
polarity is kept as setup by the bootloader. Reset default is
active high, so active low can only be used with help by the
bootloader. On i.MX7 it is similar, but there disabling of
over current detection has a similar inconsistency.

This patch introduces a new property that allows to explicitly
configure for active low over current detection and consistently
sets this up. In the absence of an explicit configuration the
bit is kept as is. On i.MX7 over current detection is used unless
disabled in the device tree.
