adb1ee4de0 wifi: virt_wifi: Add __nonstring annotations for unterminated strings
When a character array without a terminating NUL character has a static
initializer, GCC 15's -Wunterminated-string-initialization will only
warn if the array lacks the "nonstring" attribute[1]. Mark the arrays
with __nonstring to and correctly identify the char array as "not a C
string" and thereby eliminate the warning.

cf517ac16a net: Use link/peer netns in newlink() of rtnl_link_ops
Add two helper functions - rtnl_newlink_link_net() and
rtnl_newlink_peer_net() for netns fallback logic. Peer netns falls back
to link netns, and link netns falls back to source netns.

Convert the use of params->net in netdevice drivers to one of the helper
functions for clarity.

69c7be1b90 rtnetlink: Pack newlink() params into struct
There are 4 net namespaces involved when creating links:

 - source netns - where the netlink socket resides,
 - target netns - where to put the device being created,
 - link netns - netns associated with the device (backend),
 - peer netns - netns of peer device.

Currently, two nets are passed to newlink() callback - "src_net"
parameter and "dev_net" (implicitly in net_device). They are set as
follows, depending on netlink attributes in the request.

 +------------+-------------------+---------+---------+
 | peer netns | IFLA_LINK_NETNSID | src_net | dev_net |
 +------------+-------------------+---------+---------+
 | | absent | source | target |
 | absent +-------------------+---------+---------+
 | | present | link | link |
 +------------+-------------------+---------+---------+
 | | absent | peer | target |
 | present +-------------------+---------+---------+
 | | present | peer | link |
 +------------+-------------------+---------+---------+

When IFLA_LINK_NETNSID is present, the device is created in link netns
first and then moved to target netns. This has some side effects,
including extra ifindex allocation, ifname validation and link events.
These could be avoided if we create it in target netns from
the beginning.

On the other hand, the meaning of src_net parameter is ambiguous. It
varies depending on how parameters are passed. It is the effective
link (or peer netns) by design, but some drivers ignore it and use
dev_net instead.

To provide more netns context for drivers, this patch packs existing
newlink() parameters, along with the source netns, link netns and peer
netns, into a struct. The old "src_net" is renamed to "net" to avoid
confusion with real source netns, and will be deprecated later. The use
of src_net are converted to params->net trivially.

6e909f4891 wifi: virt_wifi: don't use strlen() in const context
Looks like not all compilers allow strlen(constant) as
a constant, so don't do that. Instead, revert back to
defining the length as the first submission had it.

b5d14b0c67 wifi: virt_wifi: avoid reporting connection success with wrong SSID
When user issues a connection with a different SSID than the one
virt_wifi has advertised, the __cfg80211_connect_result() will
trigger the warning: WARN_ON(bss_not_found).

The issue is because the connection code in virt_wifi does not
check the SSID from user space (it only checks the BSSID), and
virt_wifi will call cfg80211_connect_result() with WLAN_STATUS_SUCCESS
even if the SSID is different from the one virt_wifi has advertised.
Eventually cfg80211 won't be able to find the cfg80211_bss and generate
the warning.

Fixed it by checking the SSID (from user space) in the connection code.

e353ea9ce4 rtnetlink: prepare nla_put_iflink() to run under RCU
We want to be able to run rtnl_fill_ifinfo() under RCU protection
instead of RTNL in the future.

This patch prepares dev_get_iflink() and nla_put_iflink()
to run either with RTNL or RCU held.

f79cbc77ab wifi: move mac80211_hwsim and virt_wifi to virtual directory
To clean up drivers/net/wireless move the virtual drivers to a new virtual
directory. I did consider adding CONFIG_WLAN_VENDOR_VIRTUAL like other vendors
have but then dropped the idea as we are not real drivers.

There should be no changes in compilation or in Kconfig options, merely moving
files. The order in menuconfig is slightly changed, the virtual drivers are now
last in the list.
