d22d91fb1d media: dvb-usb-v2: Constify struct i2c_algorithm
'struct i2c_algorithm' are not modified in these drivers.

Constifying this structure moves some data to a read-only section, so
increase overall security, especially when the structure holds some
function pointers.

More over, dvb_usb_device_properties->i2c_algo seems to only be copied in
i2c_adapter->algo, which is already a "const struct i2c_algorithm".
This is done in dvb_usbv2_i2c_init()

On a x86_64, with allmodconfig, as an example:
Before:
======
   text data bss dec hex	filename
  35366	   5832	     36	  41234	   a112	drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb-v2/af9015.o

After:
=====
   text data bss dec hex	filename
  35430	   5768	     36	  41234	   a112	drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb-v2/af9015.o

d2af954f22 media: anysee: Fix and remove outdated comment
anysee driver was transformed to use usbv2 years ago. The comments in
anysee_ctrl_msg() still are referencing the old interfaces where msleep()
was used. The v2 interfaces also changed over the years and with commit
1162c7b383 ("[media] dvb_usb_v2: refactor dvb_usbv2_generic_rw()") the
usage of msleep() was gone anyway.

Remove FIXME comment and update also comment before call to
dvb_usbv2_generic_rw_locked().

3c2ea5ec1d media: anysee: accept read buffers of length 1 in anysee_master_xfer
anysee_master_xfer currently accepts read messages of length 2 only.
However, several frontends, e.g. tda10023 send buffers of length 1,
containing an 8-bit register number (see tda10023_readreg).
These buffers are rejected currently, making many Anysee variants
to not work. In these cases the "Unsupported Anysee version"
message is logged.

This patch alters the function to accept buffers of a length of 1 too.

c30411266f media: anysee: fix null-ptr-deref in anysee_master_xfer
In anysee_master_xfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf
is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be
passed. Malicious data finally reach anysee_master_xfer. If accessing
msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen.
We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash.

458f69ef36 docs: timers: convert docs to ReST and rename to *.rst
The conversion here is really trivial: just a bunch of title
markups and very few puntual changes is enough to make it to
be parsed by Sphinx and generate a nice html.

The conversion is actually:
  - add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs;
  - fix tables markups;
  - add some lists markups;
  - mark literal blocks;
  - adjust title markups.

At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to
the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings.

120703f9eb [media] rc-core: document the protocol type
Right now the protocol information is not preserved, rc-core gets handed a
scancode but has no idea which protocol it corresponds to.

This patch (which required reading through the source/keymap for all drivers,
not fun) makes the protocol information explicit which is important
documentation and makes it easier to e.g. support multiple protocols with one
decoder (think rc5 and rc-streamzap). The information isn't used yet so there
should be no functional changes.

c003ab1bed [media] rc-core: add separate defines for protocol bitmaps and numbers
The RC_TYPE_* defines are currently used both where a single protocol is
expected and where a bitmap of protocols is expected.

Functions like rc_keydown() and functions which add/remove entries to the
keytable want a single protocol. Future userspace APIs would also
benefit from numeric protocols (rather than bitmap ones). Keytables are
smaller if they can use a small(ish) integer rather than a bitmap.

Other functions or struct members (e.g. allowed_protos,
enabled_protocols, etc) accept multiple protocols and need a bitmap.

Using different types reduces the risk of programmer error. Using a
protocol enum whereever possible also makes for a more future-proof
user-space API as we don't need to worry about a sufficient number of
bits being available (e.g. in structs used for ioctl() calls).

The use of both a number and a corresponding bit is dalso one in e.g.
the input subsystem as well (see all the references to set/clear bit when
changing keytables for example).

This patch separate the different usages in preparation for
upcoming patches.

Where a single protocol is expected, enum rc_type is used; where one or more
protocol(s) are expected, something like u64 is used.

The patch has been rewritten so that the format of the sysfs "protocols"
file is no longer altered (at the loss of some detail). The file itself
should probably be deprecated in the future though.
