f4b048a6a3 Input: apple_z2 - drop default ARCH_APPLE in Kconfig
When the first driver for Apple Silicon was upstreamed we accidentally
included `default ARCH_APPLE` in its Kconfig which then spread to almost
every subsequent driver. As soon as ARCH_APPLE is set to y this will
pull in many drivers as built-ins which is not what we want.
Thus, drop `default ARCH_APPLE` from Kconfig.

155c1e5a92 Input: Fully open-code compatible for grepping
It is very useful to find driver implementing compatibles with `git grep
compatible`, so driver should not use defines for that string, even if
this means string will be effectively duplicated.

7675b5efd8 Input: cyttsp5 - fix power control issue on wakeup
The power control function ignores the "on" argument when setting the
report ID, and thus is always sending HID_POWER_SLEEP. This causes a
problem when trying to wakeup.

Fix by sending the state variable, which contains the proper HID_POWER_ON or
HID_POWER_SLEEP based on the "on" argument.

9a046c1d21 Input: stmpe-ts - use module alias instead of device table
When compile tested with W=1 on x86_64 with driver as built-in:

  stmpe-ts.c:371:34: error: unused variable 'stmpe_ts_ids' [-Werror,-Wunused-const-variable]

Ideally this would be referenced from the platform_driver, but since
the compatible string is already matched by the mfd driver for its
parent device, that would break probing.

In this case, the of_device_id table just serves as a module alias
for loading the driver, while the device itself is probed using
the platform device name.

Remove the table and instead use a module alias that reflects how
the driver is actually probed.

16cd1c2657 A set of final cleanups for the timer subsystem:
1) Convert all del_timer[_sync]() instances over to the new
timer_delete[_sync]() API and remove the legacy wrappers.

Conversion was done with coccinelle plus some manual fixups as
      coccinelle chokes on scoped_guard().

   2) The final cleanup of the hrtimer_init() to hrtimer_setup() conversion.

patches which have been merged through other trees are in mainline and
      all new users are catched.

2cd5769fb0 Driver core updates for 6.15-rc1
Here is the big set of driver core updates for 6.15-rc1. Lots of stuff
 happened this development cycle, including:
   - kernfs scaling changes to make it even faster thanks to rcu
   - bin_attribute constify work in many subsystems
   - faux bus minor tweaks for the rust bindings
   - rust binding updates for driver core, pci, and platform busses,
making more functionaliy available to rust drivers. These are all
due to people actually trying to use the bindings that were in 6.14.
   - make Rafael and Danilo full co-maintainers of the driver core
     codebase
   - other minor fixes and updates.

This has been in linux-next for a while now, with the only reported
issue being some merge conflicts with the rust tree. Depending on which
tree you pull first, you will have conflicts in one of them. The merge
resolution has been in linux-next as an example of what to do, or can be

The current implementation of the goodix_berlin driver lacks support for
revisions A and B of the Berlin IC. This change adds support for the
gt9897 IC, which is a Berlin-A revision part.

The differences between revision D and A are rather minor, a handful of
address changes and a slightly larger read buffer. They were taken from
the driver published by Goodix, which does a few more things that don't
appear to be necessary for the touchscreen to work properly.

Marek Vasut
781a07da9b Input: ads7846 - add dummy command register clearing cycle
On STM32MP135F with XPT2046 touch controller attached to SPI bus, it has
been observed that the touch controller locks up after Linux kernel has
finished booting. Adding a dummy cycle on the SPI bus seems to mitigate
the lock up.

The XPTEK XPT2046 controller seems to be an identical clone of TI TSC2046,
the datasheet seems to be a clone of the TI part as well, text seem to be
word to word identical, except all the pictures have been drawn again.

This touch controller is present e.g. on WaveShare 3.2inch RPi LCD (B)
panel, the DTO provided by WaveShare uses 50 kHz SPI clock for this
touch controller, which is unusually low and possibly might have been
used as some sort of workaround for an issue. The SPI LCD on the same
bus uses 16 MHz clock.

SPI bus DT properties spi-cs-setup-delay-ns, spi-cs-hold-delay-ns,
spi-cs-inactive-delay-ns, spi-rx-delay-us, spi-tx-delay-us set to
range of 500ns..5us seem to have no impact on the behavior of the
touch controller, the lock up always occurs. The STM32MP13xx SPI
controller users GPIO control for the nCS pins.

Since the dummy cycle happens after the controller has been put into
power down mode and both ADC and REF regulators have been disabled,
the cycle should have no impact on the configuration of the controller,
i.e. it should be a NOP.

It is unclear whether this problem is specific to this cloned XPT2046
controller, or whether this is also present on TSC2046. A test on
either TSC2046 or ADS7846 would be very welcome.

bffdf9d7e5 Input: edt-ft5x06 - fix regmap leak when probe fails
The driver neglects to free the instance of I2C regmap constructed at
the beginning of the edt_ft5x06_ts_probe() method when probe fails.
Additionally edt_ft5x06_ts_remove() is freeing the regmap too early,
before the rest of the device resources that are managed by devm are
released.

Fix this by installing a custom devm action that will ensure that the
regmap is released at the right time during normal teardown as well as
in case of probe failure.

Note that devm_regmap_init_i2c() could not be used because the driver
may replace the original regmap with a regmap specific for M06 devices
in the middle of the probe, and using devm_regmap_init_i2c() would
result in releasing the M06 regmap too early.

2de01e0e57 Input: zinitix - don't fail if linux, keycodes prop is absent
When initially adding the touchkey support, a mistake was made in the
property parsing code. The possible negative errno from
device_property_count_u32() was never checked, which was an oversight
left from converting to it from the of_property as part of the review
fixes.

Re-add the correct handling of the absent property, in which case zero
touchkeys should be assumed, which would disable the feature.

After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()

platform drivers.

Convert all platform drivers below drivers/input/ to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

While touching these files, make indention of the struct initializer
consistent in a few drivers.
