5f46f5c7af drm/nouveau: Add new callback for scheduler teardown
There is a new callback for always tearing the scheduler down in a
leak-free, deadlock-free manner.

Port Nouveau as its first user by providing the scheduler with a
callback that ensures the fence context gets killed in drm_sched_fini().

89b2675198 drm/nouveau: Make fence container helper usable driver-wide
In order to implement a new DRM GPU scheduler callback in Nouveau, a
helper for obtaining a nouveau_fence from a dma_fence is necessary. Such
a helper exists already inside nouveau_fence.c, called from_fence().

Make that helper available to other C files with a more precise name.

e0677e5254 drm/nouveau: Check dma_fence in canonical way
In nouveau_fence_done(), a fence is checked for being signaled by
manually evaluating the base fence's bits. This can be done in a
canonical manner through dma_fence_is_signaled().

2c0ddff2a6 drm/nouveau: Simplify calls to nvif_event_block()
nouveau_fence_signal() returns a de-facto boolean to indicate when
nvif_event_block() shall be called.

The code can be made more compact and readable by calling
nvif_event_block() in nouveau_fence_update() directly.

Make those calls in nouveau_fence.c more canonical.

bbe5679f30 drm/nouveau: Fix WARN_ON in nouveau_fence_context_kill()
Nouveau is mostly designed in a way that it's expected that fences only
ever get signaled through nouveau_fence_signal(). However, in at least
one other place, nouveau_fence_done(), can signal fences, too. If that
happens (race) a signaled fence remains in the pending list for a while,
until it gets removed by nouveau_fence_update().

Should nouveau_fence_context_kill() run in the meantime, this would be
a bug because the function would attempt to set an error code on an
already signaled fence.

Have nouveau_fence_context_kill() check for a fence being signaled.

1f9910b41c nouveau/fence: handle cross device fences properly
The fence sync logic doesn't handle a fence sync across devices
as it tries to write to a channel offset from one device into
the fence bo from a different device, which won't work so well.

This patch fixes that to avoid using the sync path in the case
where the fences come from different nouveau drm devices.

This works fine on a single device as the fence bo is shared
across the devices, and mapped into each channels vma space,
the channel offsets are therefore okay to pass between sides,
so one channel can sync on the seqnos from the other by using
the offset into it's vma.

eacabb5462 nouveau: push event block/allowing out of the fence context
There is a deadlock between the irq and fctx locks,
the irq handling takes irq then fctx lock
the fence signalling takes fctx then irq lock

This splits the fence signalling path so the code that hits
the irq lock is done in a separate work queue.

This seems to fix crashes/hangs when using nouveau gsp with
i915 primary GPU.

978474dc82 drm/nouveau: fence: fix undefined fence state after emit
nouveau_fence_emit() can fail before and after initializing the
dma-fence and hence before and after initializing the dma-fence' kref.

In order to avoid nouveau_fence_emit() potentially failing before
dma-fence initialization pass the channel to nouveau_fence_new() already
and perform the required check before even allocating the fence.

While at it, restore the original behavior of nouveau_fence_new() and
add nouveau_fence_create() for separate (pre-)allocation instead. Always
splitting up allocation end emit wasn't a good idea in the first place.
Hence, limit it to the places where we actually need to pre-allocate.

This change adds the dma_resv_usage enum and allows us to specify why a
dma_resv object is queried for its containing fences.

Additional to that a dma_resv_usage_rw() helper function is added to aid
retrieving the fences for a read or write userspace submission.

This is then deployed to the different query functions of the dma_resv
object and all of their users. When the write paratermer was previously
true we now use DMA_RESV_USAGE_WRITE and DMA_RESV_USAGE_READ otherwise.

Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
 "This is the main drm pull request for v4.11.

  Nothing too major, the tinydrm and mmu-less support should make
  writing smaller drivers easier for some of the simpler platforms, and
  there are a bunch of documentation updates.

  Intel grew displayport MST audio support which is hopefully useful to
  people, and FBC is on by default for GEN9+ (so people know where to
  look for regressions). AMDGPU has a lot of fixes that would like new
  firmware files installed for some GPUs.

  Other than that it's pretty scattered all over.

  I may have a follow up pull request as I know BenH has a bunch of AST
  rework and fixes and I'd like to get those in once they've been tested
  by AST, and I've got at least one pull request I'm just trying to get
  the author to fix up.

[ This was the "fixed" pull, that still had build warnings due to people

2c935bc572 locking/atomic, kref: Add kref_read()
Since we need to change the implementation, stop exposing internals.

Provide kref_read() to read the current reference count; typically
used for debug messages.

Kills two anti-patterns:

	atomic_read(&kref->refcount)
	kref->refcount.counter

8b0e195314 ktime: Cleanup ktime_set() usage
ktime_set(S,N) was required for the timespec storage type and is still
useful for situations where a Seconds and Nanoseconds part of a time value
needs to be converted. For anything where the Seconds argument is 0, this
is pointless and can be replaced with a simple assignment.
