arm/dt: add basic usb nodes to tegra device trees For now they are a minimal binding. Tegra SOC USB controllers
The device node for a USB controller that is part of a Tegra
SOC is as described in the document "Open Firmware Recommended
Practice : Universal Serial Bus" with the following modifications
and additions :
Required properties :
ARM: tegra: finalize USB EHCI and PHY bindings The existing Tegra USB bindings have a few issues: 1) Many properties are documented as being part of the EHCI controller node, yet they apply more to the PHY device. They should be moved. 2) Some registers in PHY1 are shared with PHY3, and hence PHY3 needs a reg entry to point at PHY1's register space. We can't assume the PHY1 driver is present, so the PHY3 driver will directly access those registers. 3) The list of clocks required by the PHY was missing some required entries. 4) UTMI PHY Timing parameters are added 5) VBUS control is now specified using a regulator rather than a plain GPIO 6) Added nvidia,is-wired property to indicate whether the device is hard wired on the board, or pluggable. ARM: tegra: add missing clock documentation to DT bindings Many of the Tegra DT binding documents say nothing about the clocks or clock-names properties, yet those are present and required in DT files. This patch simply updates the documentation file to match the implicit definition of the binding, based on real-world DT content. All Tegra bindings that mention clocks are updated to have consistent wording and formatting of the clock-related properties. ARM: tegra: document reset properties in DT bindings Update all the Tegra DT bindings to require resets/reset-names properties where the HW module has reset inputs. Remove any entries from clocks or clock-names that were only required to identify reset inputs, rather than referring to real clocks. This is a DT-ABI-incompatible change. It is the first of two changes required for me to consider the Tegra DT bindings as stable, the other being conversion to the common DMA DT bindings. ARM: tegra: add USB ULPI PHY reset GPIO to device tree ULPI PHYs have a reset signal, and different boards use a different GPIO for this task. Add a property to device tree to represent this. I'm not sure if adding this property to the EHCI controller node is entirely correct; perhaps eventually we should have explicit separate nodes for the various PHYs. However, we don't have that right now, so this binding seems like a reasonable choice. arm: tegra: dts: Support host/device selection and legacy mode Some USB ports can support host and device operation. We add the dr_mode property (as found in Freescale) for this. One USB port has a 'legacy mode', left over from the days of pre-Tegra chips. I don't believe this is actually used, except that we must know to turn this off in the driver.
