🧪 things i've built

cluebot ng — wikipedia's anti-vandalism bot, co-created back in the day. still running, still catching vandals
v1x1 — a distributed twitch/discord chatbot with a webassembly vm i wrote in java because, sure, why not
runetide — a paused voxel mmorpg backend that was really an excuse to build a distributed-systems toy: per-region leader election, in-memory world state, redis-journaled for crash recovery. rune-grammar spells and procedural everything on top.
tableflippers anonymous — a 20-node bare-metal k8s cluster in a colo that runs game servers and hosts a community i care about
my homelab — 4 nodes, ~740TiB of raw ceph, an lto-6 tape library, a 40gbit backbone, and more 3d printers than is strictly reasonable

🌱 outside the terminal

d&d, singing, home recording, 3d printing props, fixing things at the component level with a hot air station and too much patience, and hanging out with my partners and pets.

💭 things i believe

people do their best work when they're not worried
authenticity isn't a luxury — people shouldn't have to mask to exist
autonomy matters; coercion and control don't stop being wrong because they're convenient
emotions are data, not noise
mistakes are for owning, not hiding. forgiveness is for people acting in good faith
